Samsung W200 Waterproof Camcorder Launched

Samsung has announced the launch of its robust and durable waterproof Camcorder, the W200, which is available to buy now.

With built in features such as a 5mp BSI CMOS and a F2.2 bright light lens, you can be sure to get some pretty good results from the W200.

Samsung describe the W200 as the ideal Camcorder for those of us who live ‘active lifestyles’ and who may require a little more durability than the every day Camcorder.  The body of the Cam reflects this statement, with a shock, dust and waterproof durable housing.

Having the ability to record up to three meters underwater is another feature of this Camcorder we really like, although without testing, we cannot accurately  judge the quality of the results. The W200 does come complete with an Aqua Mode, which Samsung suggest will help capture amazing under water video by automatically handling camera settings.

Portability seems to be one of the key features Samsung has opted for on this model, as the Camcorder is slim and relatively compact in size.

The W200 comes complete with a 5m BSI CMSO censor, meaning that you will capture footage with very little noise and distortion. Coupling this with the F2.2 lens, you can be sure to record clear and sharp images even in the worst lite areas.

The Camcorder also comes complete with a 2.3 inch LCD screen, boasting 230 clear pixels, so you should get a great recording and playback experience.

A great addition to the W200 is the abiility to merge all video clips together, meaning if you want to upload your movie to YouTube, you simply upload one clip rather than multiples - no need for a computer!

The Camcorder also has 2 built in smart filters.  One called Vignetting, which adds a slight fade to the edges of a shot, and the other called Fish-Eye, which creates a unique and interesting distorted feel.

The Camcorder looks great.  Its slick black and red finish ads a touch of class to the offering, and combining this with some of its features, its definitely a camcorder to consider.
