The Samsung R10 Full HD Flash Camcorder is among the smallest in its class.  The multiple features don’t yield additional weight and the box itself is filled with accessories, allowing for multiple adaptations. 

You get standard AV cables, component video cables, lithium-ion battery, ferrite filters, AC adaptor, USB cable, and a protective glove in addition the camcorder itself, naturally.  This is a fun, feature-packed, convenient camera for any user.  For the fact that this is not a Flip cam, it is surprisingly small and light.

The Samsung R10 Full HD Flash features Intelli-Studio PC software, giving the convenience of use on any PC without additional software required.  The software is not Mac compatible, which is a little bit of a let down, however, for PC users, this is computer/camera versatility at its best.

High speed recording at 1080 (1920 x 1080) resolution produces crisp HD footage and 12 Megapixel stills.  The LCD screen is 2.7cm standard and the camcorder has the user-friendly aspect of Magic Touch Focus, giving a professional feel for all users.

The lens positioning allows you a comfortable hand hold to shoot videos, avoiding awkward positioning of the hand throughout filming.  Though this puts the camera at a 25 degree angle, the LCD screen is adjustable and offers a personal pivot for the eye for easy recording visibility.

The zoom button is positioned where the thumb naturally falls and next to that is the record button.  The mode button offers an easy switch from motion to stills.  HDMI, AC, and proprietary input are just behind a removable panel.  Zoom and recording control are simple and the menu options are easily accessed as long as the LCD screen is open.  A touch menu provides ease of transition between various on camera options.

Battery life is visible in the screen so you can easily tell how much recording time you have left, as this is clearly indicated as real-time.  You are also able to view the resolution settings while recording.

The automatic function gives the user a no fuss operating capacity that bodes well for those who would rather not bother with camera controls, yet the manual options are easily accessible for those who prefer.

Overall
This camcorder is conveniently usable straight out of the box, though you will probably want to give it a short charge to give extension to the initial excitement.

The zoom is not as versatile as it could be at 5x optical, but this is easily overlooked with the other features.

At full charge, you can record to a 16GB card with no problem.  That’s easily four hours of footage.

Since it has lens positioning that is different than most camcorders, it takes some getting used to.
